The UEZ program, a proven success in 27 zones throughout the state, has generated 58,216 jobs and $387 million for reinvestment projects.

The New Brunswick UEZ will become a magnet for shoppers who will pay just 3% sales tax. Plus, that sales tax stays right here in our City to be used for capital improvements and economic development activities.

• You can purchase goods for conducting and improving your business sales tax free. This includes business equipment and fixtures, linens, china and glassware, cookware and utensils, paper goods and sanitary supplies. • 3% sales tax: While food sales are not eligible for the 3% sales tax, the 3% tax collected by retail businesses stays here in New Brunswick to be invested in business improvements that will further enhance our City as a hub for shopping and small business opportunities.
